Learn venipuncture, capillary collection, specimen handling, and patient safety.

• Prepare for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam. 

Clinical Requirements: Complete required live blood collections to meet NHA certification eligibility requirements.

• Train in patient care, vital signs, EKGs, and basic clinical procedures. 

• Learn administrative skills, including scheduling and medical records. 

• Prepare for the NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.

Clinical Requirements: Includes required in-person, hands-on clinical skills.

• Learn to perform EKGs and understand basic heart rhythms and cardiac monitoring. 

• Prepare for the NHA Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam. 

Clinical Requirements: Complete a minimum of 10 EKGs on live individuals to meet NHA certification eligibility requirements.

• Learn medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, insurance claims, billing, and coding procedures.

• Prepare for the NHA Certified Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam.

Clinical Requirements: No in-person clinical or externship requirements.

• Learn medical office procedures, patient scheduling, healthcare documentation, billing basics, and electronic health records.

• Prepare for the NHA Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam.

Clinical Requirements: No in-person clinical or externship requirements.

• Learn pharmacy calculations, medication safety, pharmacy law, prescription processing, and medication preparation.

• Prepare for the NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) exam.

Clinical Requirements: No in-person clinical or externship requirements for the NHA CPhT exam. Additional pharmacy technician registration, training, or employment requirements may vary by state.

• Collect and prepare patient samples for testing and analysis in clinical or lab settings.
   
• Assist healthcare teams in hospitals, clinics, and research facilities.
   
• Certifications Earned: Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant (CMLA) — Issuing Authority: American Medical Technologists (AMT) | Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) —
   
• Clinical Requirements: 120 lab hours for CMLA; 30 venipunctures and 10 capillary sticks for CPT. 

•  CNA certification required 

• Train in direct patient care, vital signs, EKG, specimen collection, and essential clinical skills.

• Prepare for the NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) exam.

Clinical Requirements: This program includes in-person, hands-on clinical skills. MBHS Institute will assist students with coordinating applicable hands-on requirements.

• Learn electronic health records, patient data management, healthcare documentation, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

• Prepare for the NHA Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) exam.

Clinical Requirements: No in-person clinical or externship requirements.

• Learn decontamination, sterilization, instrument processing, infection prevention, and sterile storage procedures.

• Prepare for the HSPA Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) exam.

Hands-On Requirement: HSPA requires 400 hours of hands-on experience for full CRCST certification within 180 days.

• Learn dental terminology, infection control, dental anatomy, patient care, and essential dental office procedures.

• Prepare for the applicable dental support certification exam.

Clinical Requirements: No in-person clinical or externship requirements unless otherwise specified by the certification pathway or applicable state requirements.

• Learn the fundamentals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior measurement, skill acquisition, and professional conduct.

• Complete training designed to support preparation for the RBT certification process.

Certification Requirements: RBT certification includes additional requirements established by the BACB, including a competency assessment and certification examination.

• Assist patients recovering from injuries and illnesses by supporting care plans to regain movement and manage pain.
   
• Perform indirect patient care tasks, including cleaning and setting up treatment areas, preparing hot/cold packs, sanitizing equipment, moving patients, and handling administrative duties.
