MBHS Institute is committed to supporting student success and consistent academic progress. Students are expected to actively participate in their program and maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout their enrollment.
For online and self-paced programs, attendance is measured by documented academic participation and progress rather than simply logging into the learning platform.
Academic participation may include completing coursework or assignments, submitting quizzes or exams, participating in required Zoom sessions, completing instructor-directed activities, completing required hands-on or clinical activities, or other documented academic engagement.
Simply logging into the learning platform without completing or participating in academic activities does not constitute active attendance.
If a student has no documented academic participation for 7 consecutive calendar days, MBHS Institute will contact the student and issue an academic participation reminder. The student will be encouraged to resume coursework promptly or contact MBHS Institute if circumstances are affecting their ability to participate.
If a student reaches 14 consecutive calendar days without documented academic participation, MBHS Institute may issue a formal attendance and academic participation warning.
The student may be required to contact MBHS Institute regarding their enrollment status and establish a plan to resume satisfactory academic participation.
Students who reach 21 consecutive calendar days without documented academic participation or communication with MBHS Institute may be administratively withdrawn from their program.
Administrative withdrawal may affect the student's enrollment status, program completion timeline, tuition or financial obligations, and eligibility for applicable funding.
Students receiving funding or sponsorship through WIOA/WorkOne, Workforce Ready Grant (WRG), Indianapolis Urban League, Indiana IMPACT/FSSA, employer sponsorship, veteran education benefits, education financing, or another third-party funding source must also comply with any attendance, participation, academic progress, and reporting requirements established by their funding or sponsoring organization.
When required or permitted by applicable program requirements and student authorizations, MBHS Institute may report attendance, academic progress, inactivity, withdrawal, or enrollment status to the applicable funding or sponsoring organization.
Students are responsible for completing all required components of their program, which may include coursework, assessments, Zoom meetings, examinations, labs, hands-on skills, clinical requirements, externships, practical experience, or other required activities.
Failure to participate in or complete required program activities may affect satisfactory academic progress and program completion.
Students experiencing circumstances that interfere with their ability to participate should contact MBHS Institute as soon as possible.
MBHS Institute may consider documented circumstances, approved accommodations, scheduled program breaks, or other approved arrangements when reviewing a student's attendance and academic participation status.
Students are responsible for monitoring their progress, maintaining communication with MBHS Institute, completing required coursework and program activities, and remaining aware of applicable program completion deadlines.
MBHS Institute reserves the right to administratively withdraw students who fail to maintain required academic participation or who exceed the established inactivity period in accordance with this policy.
